As well as copywriting, I also spent a large part of my 20s and 30s writing comedy for stage, TV and film.
I was writer, performer and producer with the multi-award-winning comedy group Dead Cat Bounce. We spent 5 years playing at all the world’s major comedy festivals; including Montreal Just For Laughs, Edinburgh Festival Fringe, Melbourne Comedy Festival and a bunch of others.
I’ve been a contributor, writer and performer on BBC3, Channel 4 and was a regular writer with the “Republic of Telly” and “Callan’s Kicks” on RTÉ2.
I co-wrote the feature film “Discoverdale” which has played at numerous film festivals around the world, winning several international awards including Best International Feature at the Galway Film Fleadh. It was released on DVD and Blu Ray in Japan in January 2016. In April 2017 it was released in North America on a bunch of VOD, Satellite and Cable platforms – including iTunes, Amazon, Google Play, YouTube Movies and more.
My second feature film entitled “Apocalypse Clown” was released in cinemas across Ireland and the UK in September 2023. There’s more info about it on the main work page of the site…
